Bitcoin mining hardware maker Auradine has raised $80 million in an oversubscribed Series B round, while also reporting $80 million in bookings. The California-based company said the new capital will be used to increase manufacturing capacity and accelerate the roadmap for its Teraflux mining rig lineup.
Fresh capital follows a strong earlier funding round
Investors in the round include Stepstone Group, Top Tier Capital Partners, MVP Ventures, Maverick Capital, Marathon Digital, Celesta Capital, and Mayfield Fund. The financing comes after Auradine previously secured $81 million in its Series A round, suggesting continued investor interest in the company’s position within the bitcoin mining hardware market.
Co-founder and CEO Rajiv Khemani said the company has made progress in delivering innovative, energy-efficient, and secure products. He added that order strength and the broader pipeline reflect customer confidence, and that the latest funding will help Auradine scale production and speed up investment in future products.
Competing in a concentrated mining hardware market
The bitcoin mining rig sector remains dominated by a relatively small group of established manufacturers, most notably Bitmain, Canaan, and Microbt. Competition in this market is heavily centered on hashrate performance and energy efficiency, typically measured in joules per terahash (J/T). The report notes that Bitmain introduced a new machine in late March with efficiency of 15 J/T.
Auradine’s current lineup reflects its effort to compete on those same metrics. Its air-cooled Teraflux AT2880 delivers 260 TH/s at 16 J/T, while the single-phase immersion-cooled AI3680 offers 375 TH/s at 15 J/T. The company also lists the air-cooled AT1500 with 185 TH/s at 22 J/T, and the immersion-cooled AI2500 with 250 TH/s at 21 J/T.
Taken together, the new funding and booking figures indicate that Auradine is trying to strengthen its foothold in the mining equipment space at a time when efficiency and output remain key competitive factors. Whether expanded production can help it narrow the gap with larger incumbents will be a closely watched question for the sector.
