Axis has rolled out Axis Prime, extending the fragmented market execution infrastructure it previously built to run market-neutral strategies for institutional allocators into an institutional liquidity and execution offering. The service is aimed at neobanks, brokerages, remittance businesses, and digital asset platforms.
According to the company, Prime lets clients handle trade pricing, liquidity access, execution, and settlement management through a single institutional relationship. It also covers inventory management and counterparty risk management. Axis said the service supports more than 15 currencies, stablecoins, and settlement rails, while evaluating over 25 million cross-asset pricing routes.
The company added that selected rails deliver average quoted spreads of less than 10 basis points. Axis also said Prime has already completed its first OTC order for a large centralized crypto exchange. In its description of the model, Axis said capital coming into the firm supports its balance sheet and trading infrastructure, while Prime uses that same infrastructure to quote and execute external institutional flow, creating a dual-use setup that combines capital formation with liquidity provision.
