The Bank of Korea has reviewed the factors behind the Korea Composite Stock Price Index, or KOSPI, swings seen this year in its September 2026 monetary and credit policy report. According to the report, as the KOSPI kept rising, Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix accounted for a rapidly growing share of the index’s gains. The central bank said that during the move from 8,000 to 9,000 in June this year, the two stocks contributed as much as 99% of the increase. The update was cited by BlockBeats on Sept. 14, with Jin10 named as the source in the brief. The report frames the rally as being highly concentrated in those two names during that stretch, based on the central bank’s own review.
