Bifrost has reported a security breach in which a hacker exploited liquidity pool vulnerabilities and stole approximately $720,000 worth of assets. According to Bifrost's monitoring, the attacker drained funds from the vDOT single-asset pool, as well as the vASTR/ASTR and vMANTA/MANTA pools. The stolen assets were deposited into HitBTC and later transferred to Binance. Bifrost has contacted Binance's security team to request a fund freeze, and has also submitted a report to law enforcement, including an on-chain evidence package covering transaction tracing, wallet addresses, and timestamps. In the meantime, Bifrost has suspended all liquidity mining rewards and launched a comprehensive security review. No details about the vulnerability's root cause or the identity of the attacker have been disclosed so far.

Bifrost said a hacker had drained roughly $720,000 worth of crypto assets by exploiting vulnerabilities in its liquidity pools. The theft was detected through the project's own monitoring systems.

The attack hit the vDOT single-asset pool and two more pools: vASTR/ASTR and vMANTA/MANTA. According to Bifrost, funds linked to the incident were first deposited into HitBTC, then moved to Binance.

Bifrost has reached out to Binance's security team with a request to freeze the stolen funds. A report has also been filed with law enforcement, accompanied by an on-chain evidence package that includes transaction trails, wallet addresses, and timestamps.

All liquidity mining rewards have been halted while a full security review is underway. No further details on the root cause of the vulnerability or the attacker's identity have been disclosed.
