The Binance Card APAC edition officially opened for Taiwan users in April 2026. This virtual debit card, issued by New Zealand-based Immersve Limited and operating on the Mastercard network, offers no annual fee, no monthly fee, and no activation fee. Cashback starts at 1% and can reach up to 3%, paid directly in USDC to the user's Binance wallet.
How the Card Works
Unlike the European Visa version, the APAC edition is powered by Immersve, a member of Mastercard's Crypto Partner Program. When a user makes a purchase, Binance automatically converts crypto balances (USDC, USDT, BTC, ETH, etc.) into USD to settle the transaction. The card is virtual only – no physical plastic – but can be added to Apple Pay and Google Pay for mobile payments.
To apply, users must first complete advanced KYC with Binance. Then, in the Binance app, navigate to the “Card” tab, fill in a residential address that matches the KYC document, read and accept the Immersve terms, and submit. The whole process takes roughly 5 minutes; the virtual card's number, CVV, and expiry date appear immediately in the app.
Fee Breakdown: Use USDC for the Lowest Cost
Fixed costs are zero, but variable fees apply. A crypto conversion fee is charged when spending non-fiat currencies: 0.1% for USDC, 0.9% for other coins like BTC or ETH. Additionally, all transactions not in USD are subject to a 2% foreign exchange (FX) fee. For example, a TWD 1,000 online purchase paid with USDC incurs a ~0.1% conversion fee (≈TWD 1) plus the 2% FX fee (≈TWD 20), plus Mastercard’s exchange rate spread (≈0.5%-1%). To minimize costs, users should convert other crypto to USDC before spending.
Tiered Cashback: Spend More, Earn More
Cashback rates depend on monthly spending volumes: Tier 1 ($0+): 1%; Tier 2 ($100+): 1.5%; Tier 3 ($500+): 2%; Tier 4 ($1,000+): 3%. Rewards are paid in USDC with no caps. Compared to alternatives like Crypto.com’s card (requires CRO staking or a monthly fee), Ether.fi Card (3% flat but capped at $1,000/month), or Bybit Card (2% capped at $75/month), Binance Card APAC requires no staking, but the top 3% rate demands a monthly spend of $1,000.
Limitations and Risk Factors
The APAC card is virtual only, so ATM withdrawals are not supported, and physical-store NFC payments work only through Apple Pay/Google Pay. Users should be aware that personal data is transferred to Immersve in New Zealand, not staying solely within Binance. Since local transactions are treated as foreign transactions, the FX fee plus spread can erode cashback value. Tax obligations for crypto spending fall on the user; this article does not provide specific tax guidance. Overall, the card suits Binance users with existing crypto holdings who mainly shop online or use subscription services; its utility is limited for in-person retail spending.
