Airdrop Schedule and Participation Requirements
Binance officially announced on June 30, 2026, that its HODLer Airdrop platform has launched a new project: OpenGradient (OPG). According to the official notice, users who subscribe to BNB Savings (Flexible or Locked) or On-Chain Earn products between 08:00 UTC on June 22 and 07:59 UTC on June 25, 2026, will be eligible for OPG token airdrops. The airdrop is expected to be distributed to users' spot accounts within 5 hours after the announcement.
This airdrop follows the standard HODLer Airdrop mechanism: users do not need to perform any additional steps beyond holding the subscribed BNB Savings positions. BNB holders should note that eligibility is based on the amount of BNB subscribed to Savings products, and both Flexible and Locked Savings are counted.
OPG Token Allocation and Circulating Supply
The initial total supply of OPG is 1 billion tokens, of which 6.4 million tokens (0.64%) are reserved for the HODLer Airdrop. The circulating supply at the time of listing on Binance is 190 million tokens, representing 19% of the initial total supply. This means approximately 81% of tokens are locked or non-circulating at launch, likely allocated to the team, ecosystem fund, early investors, and other vesting schedules.
From a tokenomics perspective, the 6.4 million airdrop represents only 3.37% of the initial circulating supply (190 million), limiting immediate selling pressure. However, HODLer Airdrops historically generate significant attention and trading volume for new listings. Previous HODLer Airdrop projects such as BANANA and MUBI experienced high volatility in their early days; OPG may follow a similar pattern.
How to Participate and Key Considerations
Interested BNB holders need to act within the 4-day window (June 22 08:00 to June 25 07:59 UTC). Users should navigate to Binance's 'Savings' section and subscribe BNB to either Flexible or Locked products, or use On-Chain Earn to stake BNB. Once subscribed, no further action is required; the airdrop allocation will be computed automatically based on the amount and duration of the subscription.
Users should be aware that while Flexible Savings allow withdrawals at any time, early withdrawal may affect the airdrop calculation. Locked Savings cannot be withdrawn before the lock period expires. Additionally, the initial circulating supply is only 19% of total supply, meaning a large portion of tokens remain locked. Investors should monitor future unlock events that could impact the token's price. Binance has not disclosed the full unlock schedule, so caution is advised.
