Binance has kicked off a low-barrier red packet event ahead of the Lunar New Year. From now until the end of February, users can open the Binance App, tap the top-left icon, navigate to More Services → Pay → scroll down to Pay Events, and find four available activities. The two highlighted ones are "Red Packet Giveaway" and "Transfer Event."
Red Packet Giveaway: Invite Friends, Earn Extra Rewards
Users can share a unique red packet link to invite friends. Each successful invite earns the inviter an additional red packet, with a maximum of 10 invites allowed. The official interface tracks all rewards, letting users check their balance in real time. While our test account only got small amounts, the event is legitimate — and you could be the lucky one to grab a bigger prize.
Transfer Event: Free Transfers, Extra Red Packet
By entering another Binance user's phone number or Binance ID (including your own sub-account or a friend's), you can make a free transfer of as little as 0.001 USDT. After the transfer succeeds, the sender automatically receives an extra red packet. This mechanic encourages users to try the in-app transfer feature while boosting engagement.
Ultra-Low Barriers, Up to 100 USDT in Rewards
The entire sign-up and participation process takes about 30 seconds. Rewards are paid out in USDT, with a maximum prize of 100 USDT. Although the exact odds are not disclosed, multiple users report that the process is straightforward and small rewards are indeed delivered. This campaign comes after Binance's "1011 flash crash" controversy, where OKX's Xu Mingxing criticized Binance for irresponsible marketing of USDe. Now, the exchange is sticking to a simple red packet gimmick, aiming to rebuild goodwill with a no-strings-attached event.
