Binance has transferred 3,999,999,999 DOGE (roughly $299.5 million) to an unknown wallet in what is one of the largest Dogecoin transactions recorded this year. Blockchain data from Whale Alert shows the fee for the massive transfer stood at just 1.5331 DOGE.
The destination wallet remains unidentified, and Binance has not publicly disclosed the reason behind the move. However, the transfer coincides with rising network activity on Dogecoin and several evolving technical signals.
Large crypto transfers often draw attention because they may indicate exchange wallet management, institutional repositioning, or whale accumulation. Market participants are watching whether similar high-value transactions follow in the coming days.
40B DOGE Transfer: Binance Move Sparks Speculation
Beyond the whale activity, on-chain data shows that more users are becoming active on the Dogecoin network. Crypto analyst Ali Martinez noted that active addresses recently climbed to nearly 50,000, reflecting increased participation compared to prior sessions.
Martinez also identified the $0.06 level as Dogecoin's key long-term support zone. He said this multi-year accumulation area has preceded several of the asset's strongest rallies, keeping traders' attention on that price despite recent fluctuations.
Active Addresses Near 50,000 as 2-Hour Golden Cross Forms
On the technical side, Dogecoin printed a golden cross on its two-hour chart — the 50-period moving average crossed above the 200-period moving average, a pattern often linked to improving short-term momentum. The crossover followed a bounce from $0.069 on June 29. DOGE later climbed to $0.079 on July 4 before retreating. At press time, DOGE trades near $0.0744, down 3.56% in 24 hours but still up 2.57% week-over-week.
Weekly Death Cross Risk Persists as Economic Data Looms
Investors are also eyeing broader macro catalysts. The Federal Open Market Committee minutes (chaired by Kevin Warsh) are due Wednesday, followed by the U.S. weekly jobless claims report on Thursday. Both events could sway crypto prices.
Dogecoin's weekly chart carries another closely watched signal: the 50-week moving average is sliding toward the 200-week moving average. If they intersect, a weekly death cross would form in the coming weeks. The last such death cross appeared in February 2023. Traders are watching whether stronger network activity, whale transfers, and technical developments can offset that bearish setup.
The transfer of nearly 4 billion DOGE has reignited interest in the meme coin. Large on-chain activity, rising network engagement, and mixed technical signals set the stage for the next key move, with traders monitoring whale behavior, support levels, and upcoming economic data.
