Binance is making a bold leap into traditional finance by planning to add U.S. stock trading and a native tokenized stock product called bStocks to its platform, as reported by Fortune. The move underscores the exchange's ambition to become a 'super app' that blurs the line between crypto and conventional markets.
For non-U.S. users, Binance will offer trading on more than 7,000 U.S. stocks and ETFs. Co-CEO Richard Teng explained that investors can buy these equities using digital assets like USDC, USDT, and BNB, with a minimum trade size of just $5 in fractional shares—and zero commissions. The service is backed by Nest Trading as the introducing broker-dealer and Alpaca for custody, dividend distribution, and corporate actions, ensuring a regulated bridge between crypto wallets and Wall Street.
Alongside the traditional brokerage feature, Binance plans to launch bStocks in the coming weeks. According to the company, bStocks will convert traditional equity holdings into programmable, on-chain assets that can be traded 24/7, unlocking new possibilities for fractional ownership and use as collateral in decentralized finance. Each bStocks token represents a real share held by a licensed custodian, delivering the familiarity of stocks with the flexibility of blockchain.
The exchange has already laid the groundwork through a partnership with Ondo Finance, which saw the re-listing of on-chain tokenized assets tracking U.S. equities such as Apple, Tesla, and Nvidia, as well as ETFs. These earlier products proved the model’s viability and user demand, setting the stage for bStocks. From spot crypto trading to stock brokerage and on-chain equities, Binance is steadily piecing together a multi-asset financial hub, turning the super-app vision into reality.
