Binance said it will list the TSLAUSDT Equity Perpetual Contract on Binance Futures under its TradFi section at 14:30 UTC on January 28, 2026. The product gives crypto traders a way to track Tesla Inc. (NASDAQ: TSLA) through the exchange without using traditional stock brokerage channels or waiting for regular market hours.

Contract terms include 5x leverage and USDT settlement

The exchange described the product as a USDⓈ-margined perpetual contract settled in USDT, with leverage of up to 5x. Binance set the minimum trade size at 0.01 TSLA and the minimum notional value at 5 USDT. Funding fees will be settled every four hours. Trading will be available 24/7, including weekends and holidays, unlike the standard schedule for listed equities.

The contract tracks Tesla’s share price but does not grant ownership of actual TSLA stock. Because it is a perpetual futures product, there is no expiry date. Traders can keep positions open as long as margin requirements are met. Since collateral, profit and loss are all handled in USDT, the structure is familiar to users already active in crypto derivatives.

Funding mechanism is designed to keep pricing aligned

Binance said the four-hour funding cycle is used to keep the contract close to Tesla’s stock price. When the funding rate is positive, long positions pay short positions. When it turns negative, shorts pay longs. That mechanism remains in place even while U.S. equity markets are closed.

Leverage expands both exposure and risk. The source example states that $100 at 5x leverage can control a $500 position. The same structure can accelerate losses and increase liquidation risk. Entry thresholds are low, which opens the product to smaller traders as well.

Launch comes as Tesla stock faces pressure before earnings

The listing arrives during a cautious stretch for Tesla shares. According to the source material, the stock fell more than 3% on Monday to close at $435.20, with markets waiting for the company’s upcoming quarterly earnings report. The report also cited 418,227 vehicle deliveries in the fourth quarter, below expectations, and 1.64 million total deliveries in 2025, down 9% year over year. In the same period, BYD delivered 2.26 million EVs.

Binance recently introduced futures products tied to gold and silver as well. In the source’s framing, the Tesla-linked contract adds to the exchange’s effort to bring more traditional asset exposure into crypto-native trading.

No spot listing or tokenized stock has been announced

Speculation around a possible spot product has picked up, but the current announcement does not include one. Binance has not announced a Tesla spot market, and it has not confirmed any tokenized stock product or direct spot trading for $TSLA.

At this stage, the Binance Tesla listing is strictly a futures product. It is not presented as a substitute for owning Tesla shares, and the source states that it is not officially connected to the company itself.
