Bloomberg ETF analyst Eric Balchunas said on X that Bitcoin ETFs recorded roughly $1 billion in weekly inflows, the best weekly performance since April and the third best since October, when the so-called Silent IPO disrupted market performance. He pointed out that IBIT, FBTC and a few other Bitcoin ETFs have seen daily inflows ever since the Coldcard hack, and described the correlation as one that cannot be easily dismissed. The analyst added that it would be ironic if the worst-case scenario — a hack of cold-storage Bitcoin — actually signals the beginning of the next rally, though he noted such an outcome would fit the historical pattern. Balchunas made the statement in a post on X.

Bitcoin ETFs recorded roughly $1 billion in weekly inflows, according to Bloomberg ETF analyst Eric Balchunas. In a post on X, he called it the best week since April and the third-best since October, when the Silent IPO disrupted market performance.

Balchunas noted that IBIT, FBTC and a few other Bitcoin ETFs have seen consecutive daily inflows since the Coldcard hack, and said the correlation is hard to ignore. He added that it would be ironic if a cold-storage Bitcoin hack — seemingly the worst-case scenario — marks the start of the next rally, but it fits the pattern.
