US spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds started October back in positive territory, posting $102.7 million in net inflows on Thursday after seeing $148.7 million in net outflows the day before, according to SoSoValue. The move came after what the report described as the strongest quarter of 2026 for the products, with third-quarter net inflows totaling $6.34 billion, including $2.65 billion in September alone. Combined net assets for the Bitcoin funds climbed to $109.3 billion, while cumulative net inflows reached $57.6 billion. Over the third quarter, Bitcoin gained 42.71%. At the time of publication, CoinGecko data showed Bitcoin trading at about $85,900, up 2.1% over the past 24 hours. Alternative.me’s Crypto Fear & Greed Index slipped to 72 from 74 a day earlier, though it remained in the “Greed” range. Elsewhere, US spot Ether ETFs logged $55.4 million in net outflows on Thursday, extending their losing streak to three straight trading days and bringing total outflows over that stretch to about $118 million. Solana ETFs also saw roughly $6 million in net outflows for a second consecutive session, while XRP ETFs recorded $4 million in net inflows.

US spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds returned to net inflows on the first trading day of October, reversing the previous session’s losses.

Data from SoSoValue showed the funds brought in $102.7 million in net inflows on Thursday, after posting $148.7 million in net outflows on Wednesday. Their combined net assets rose to $109.3 billion, and cumulative net inflows reached $57.6 billion.

Strong quarter set up the October rebound

The positive start to the month followed a strong third quarter for the Bitcoin funds. They recorded $6.34 billion in net inflows during the quarter, including $2.65 billion in September.

Bitcoin rose 42.71% over the quarter.

BTC traded near $85,900 as sentiment stayed in greed territory

According to CoinGecko, Bitcoin was trading at about $85,900 at the time of publication, up 2.1% over the past 24 hours.

Alternative.me’s Crypto Fear & Greed Index fell to 72 from 74 a day earlier, while remaining in the “Greed” zone.

Ether funds extended outflows while XRP ETFs saw inflows

US spot Ether ETFs posted $55.4 million in net outflows on Thursday. Across three consecutive trading days, the funds have lost about $118 million.

Solana ETFs also recorded around $6 million in net outflows on Thursday, stretching their outflow run to two sessions. XRP ETFs, by contrast, attracted $4 million in net inflows.
