Bitcoin trades at $66,622, Ethereum above $2,000, while altcoins rally led by Cartesi (+79.2%), Ontology Gas (+40%), and Algorand (+21.6%). Rotation into smaller assets signals market shift.

Bitcoin held steady above $66,000 during the latest session, while altcoins posted strong gains as market momentum shifted. BTC traded at $66,622.99, up 0.1% over 24 hours, with trading volume above $40.9 billion — a sign that both institutional and retail investors remain active.

Large-Caps Mostly Flat; XRP and BNB See Little Change

Ethereum edged up 0.4% to $2,059.02, maintaining its position above the $2,000 threshold. Its market cap stayed above $248 billion, reinforcing its leading smart-contract status. XRP traded at $1.32 with no notable percentage change, yet volume exceeded $2 billion, suggesting traders are still engaged despite a consolidation pause. BNB slipped 0.6% to $586.24, with its market cap near $80 billion.

Solana was flat at $79.31, while Dogecoin gained 1.0% to $0.09097. TRON held at $0.3153.

Altcoin Rally Intensifies: Cartesi Surges 79%, ONG Up 40%

Smaller-cap tokens stole the spotlight. Cartesi CTSI led the gainers with a 79.2% surge, supported by trading volume above $191 million. Ontology Gas ONG followed with a 40.0% increase. Algorand ALGO climbed 21.6% to $0.121, backed by nearly $170 million in volume. Other tokens such as Bedrock BR and Definitive EDGE both posted gains above 19.0%.

The pattern points to capital rotation into smaller assets as traders hunt for higher short-term returns. Major cryptocurrencies remain in consolidation, while altcoins capture increased attention. Overall market capitalization held steady, reflecting a transitional phase.
