Bitcoin.com has announced record-breaking growth in its cloud mining services. The company's mining pool, pool.bitcoin.com, now commands approximately 3% of the global Bitcoin network's hashrate. In addition, Bitcoin.com has partnered with the largest Bitcoin mining data center in North America, enabling it to offer cloud mining services unmatched by any other industry player.
$15M Equipment Purchase and $8M Contract Sales
In the last quarter alone, Bitcoin.com, in collaboration with a confidential North American data center, has purchased over $15 million worth of Bitcoin mining equipment and sold more than $8 million in cloud mining contracts. Cloud mining allows anyone to earn bitcoins without purchasing specialized hardware or using complex software; users simply buy mining power from the data center. Since launching its cloud mining operations in May, Bitcoin.com has seen record sellouts.
Industry Leaders Express Enthusiasm
Bitcoin.com developer Shaun Chong commented, "Our hashrate demand seems to be growing in lockstep with the Bitcoin price, and it doesn’t show signs of slowing." CEO Roger Ver added, "This clearly shows that Bitcoin.com is one of the most profitable companies in the entire ecosystem today. With our continued efforts we will pave the way for the future mass adoption of Bitcoin via on-chain scaling as originally outlined by Satoshi Nakamoto."
The global shortage of mining hardware and chips has further elevated the appeal of cloud mining. Bitcoin.com's pool maintains its leadership by offering 110% block rewards and 0% fees. Its cloud mining contracts come in three durations: three months, six months, and lifetime (while profitable). Revenue from cloud mining sales is reinvested to purchase more mining hardware, supporting on-chain scaling and hashrate growth.
Bitcoin.com continues to leverage multiple facets of digital currency and blockchain technology, with its pool and cloud services growing in unison with Bitcoin's natural development as the future of money.
