Bitget has launched a Private Copy Trading feature for its CFD platform, giving professional traders a way to build invitation-only trading communities while keeping tighter control over how their strategies are distributed.
The company said the release reflects a change in how copy trading is being used. What began as a public social discovery tool is increasingly moving toward a community-driven business model. As copy trading has developed, many successful traders have expanded their reach beyond exchange platforms and built dedicated groups on Telegram, Discord, and X, formerly Twitter. Bitget said those groups are becoming central spaces for sharing market views and maintaining long-term user relationships.
Rather than exposing every strategy to the public, many traders now prefer to keep their highest-conviction and highest-win-rate setups as exclusive benefits for community members, according to the company.
Invitation links, channel tracking, and follower controls
Bitget said the new feature gives traders more flexibility in community management. Traders can generate multiple dedicated invitation links for different communities or marketing channels, track conversion performance for each source, manage follower slots separately, and remove followers when necessary.
Public and private copy trading products can also run in parallel. That structure allows traders to expand their public visibility while maintaining a higher-barrier community for selected users.
Bitget CEO Gracy Chen said: “As a leader in crypto copy trading, we are among the few players that have consistently pushed this sector forward. Traders trust data, and transparent copy trading helps collective growth. The addition of a private copy trading layer now gives professional traders greater flexibility when sharing strategies.”
Strategy visibility limited to approved participants
Bitget said the invitation-only model protects exclusive strategies by limiting trading visibility to approved participants instead of making activity fully public.
For traders focused on user acquisition, the company said an optional registration requirement tied to invitation links offers a more targeted way to attract new users while also making it easier to measure the effectiveness of different promotion channels.
Bitget ties the launch to a broader creator-economy push
Bitget described itself as one of the early major exchanges that brought professional trading strategies to a broader audience through copy trading. It said the launch of Private Copy Trading reflects a wider upgrade tied to the “creator economy” in trading.
As professional traders build independent personal brands and communities, copy trading platforms are shifting from pure strategy-discovery venues into infrastructure that supports audience management, customer acquisition, and long-term community growth, the company said. In that context, the new feature extends Bitget’s copy trading ecosystem to meet changing market demand.
