Bitget used its eighth-anniversary offline event to outline both its business expansion and the latest progress of its user incentive program. Xie Jiayin, the company’s head of Greater China, said the platform has grown from a single cryptocurrency trading venue into what it describes as a universal exchange, or UEX, spanning crypto as well as stocks, commodities and AI trading scenarios. According to Xie, non-crypto assets accounted for 40% of trading volume on the platform as of the second quarter. He also said roughly one in every four new users began their Bitget journey through rToken. Looking ahead, Bitget plans to keep advancing its UEX strategy, add more asset classes and trading scenarios, and build out institutional-grade custody and over-the-counter settlement infrastructure. The company said it wants to support different types of institutions with a wider range of custody and settlement models, while keeping institutional services as a key strategic focus. At the same event, Bitget disclosed the third batch of reward distribution under its “Companion Program,” saying cumulative rewards had reached $3,495,658 and total reward distributions had covered 2,277,318 user instances.

Bitget held an offline event on Thursday to mark its eighth anniversary and used the occasion to share new details on its business expansion and user incentive efforts.

Xie Jiayin, Bitget’s head of Greater China, said during a review of the platform’s eight-year development that the company has moved beyond being a single cryptocurrency trading platform and is now expanding into what it calls a universal exchange, or UEX, covering a wider set of trading scenarios including stocks, commodities and AI trading.

According to Xie, non-crypto assets accounted for 40% of trading volume on the platform as of the second quarter. He added that about one in four new users started their Bitget journey through rToken.

Institutional services remain a strategic focus

Looking to the next stage, Xie said Bitget will continue to advance its UEX strategy, broaden the range of assets and trading scenarios available on the platform, and improve institutional-grade custody and over-the-counter settlement infrastructure.

He said the company plans to use a more diverse set of custody and settlement models to meet the differing needs of various types of institutions. Institutional services, he added, will remain one of Bitget’s key strategic priorities in the next phase.

Third batch of Companion Program rewards disclosed

At the event, Bitget also disclosed progress on the third batch of rewards under its “Companion Program.” The company said cumulative rewards distributed under the program had reached $3,495,658, while the cumulative number of reward distributions totaled 2,277,318.

Xie said the platform hopes to turn its “users first” approach into concrete action through product development, service upgrades and user rewards.
