Bitget used its eighth-anniversary offline event to outline how the platform is repositioning itself beyond a single-asset crypto exchange. Xie Jiayin, the company’s head of Greater China, said Bitget has expanded into what it calls a universal exchange, or UEX, spanning not only cryptocurrency trading but also stocks, commodities and AI trading scenarios. He said that by the second quarter, non-crypto assets accounted for 40% of trading volume on the platform.
Xie also shared user acquisition data tied to Bitget’s rToken product. According to his remarks, about one in every four new users started their Bitget journey through rToken. Looking ahead, he said the company will keep pushing its UEX strategy, broaden the range of assets and trading scenarios on offer, and build out institutional-grade custody and over-the-counter settlement infrastructure. He added that institutional services will remain one of Bitget’s key strategic priorities in the next phase.
At the same event, Bitget disclosed progress on the third batch of rewards under its Companion Program. The platform said cumulative rewards distributed under the program had reached $3,495,658, with 2,277,318 total reward distributions. Xie said Bitget wants to turn its user-first approach into concrete action through product development, service upgrades and user rewards.
