Bitget used its eighth anniversary offline event to detail the next stage of its platform strategy, with Greater China head Xie Jiayin saying the company has moved beyond being a single-product crypto exchange into what it describes as a universal exchange, or UEX, spanning crypto, stocks, commodities and AI trading scenarios. He said that by the second quarter, non-crypto assets accounted for 40% of trading volume on the platform. He also disclosed that about one in every four new users began their Bitget journey through rToken. Looking ahead, Xie said Bitget will keep advancing its UEX strategy by adding more asset classes and trading scenarios, while building out institutional-grade custody and over-the-counter settlement infrastructure. The company plans to use a wider range of custody and settlement models to meet the differing needs of various institutions, and said institutional services will remain a major strategic focus in the next phase. At the event, Bitget also shared progress on the third batch of rewards under its "Tongxing Plan," saying cumulative rewards distributed had reached $3,495,658 and total reward payouts had been made 2,277,318 times. Xie said the platform wants to turn its "users first" approach into concrete action through product development, service upgrades and user rewards.
