BitMEX has announced the launch of its “Copy and Conquer” trading competition, offering a 50,000 USDT prize pool. The event will run from 12:00 PM UTC on May 14, 2026, to 11:59 AM UTC on June 14, 2026, and users can register at any point during the campaign period. Participants can compete by copy trading or reverse copy trading top traders.
Competition built around copy trading and reverse copy trading
According to BitMEX, copy trading was opened to all traders on the platform in 2025. The exchange said the product includes Reverse Copy, a feature that lets users take the opposite side of a copied trader’s position. BitMEX also said users can copy top Hyperliquid traders while trading within the BitMEX platform environment.
New users can qualify for protection and profit bonuses
The reward structure is split into two categories. For new users, those making their first copy trade can apply for loss protection of up to $50 when copying their first lead trader. Users trying reverse copy trading for the first time may also receive an extra $50 profit bonus if their first reverse copy trade ends in profit.
Volume-based rebates available to all participants
BitMEX said all participants can also earn trading rebates based on their copy trading volume tier. Users who reach the required volume levels may claim up to $500 in trading rebate rewards. The exchange has published a competition page with registration details, along with a separate page explaining how its copy trading product works.
Exchange highlights security record and proof-of-reserves disclosures
Outside the promotion itself, BitMEX used the announcement to restate several platform claims. The exchange described itself as a pioneer in crypto derivatives trading, with a focus on low latency, crypto-native liquidity, and reliability for professional traders.
BitMEX also said it has not lost any cryptocurrency to intrusion or hacking since its founding. In addition, it said it was one of the earliest exchanges to publish both proof-of-reserves and proof-of-liabilities data on-chain, and that it continues to release those figures twice a week to show that customer funds are securely stored and segregated.
