BitMine added 8,573 ETH last week, according to PR Newswire. As of Nov. 1, 2026, the company’s total Ethereum holdings stood at 6,060,506 ETH, equal to about 4.9% of Ethereum’s total supply.
BitMine said the total value of its cryptocurrency holdings, cash, and other investment assets was about $14.5 billion. That figure includes $498 million in cash and marketable securities, 216 BTC, $180 million in equity assets tied to Beast Industries, and an $82 million investment in Eightco Holdings (ORBS).
Most of the ETH position has been staked
The company said 5,227,037 ETH has been staked, representing 86% of its total Ethereum holdings. At $2,261 per ETH, that staked position was worth about $11.8 billion and was generating an annualized staking yield of roughly $358 million.
Tom Lee compares the Binance incident with the Bybit hack
In BitMine’s weekly report, Chairman Tom Lee said the market response after the Binance hack was relatively mild. He compared it with the February 2025 Bybit hack, when $1.5 billion was stolen and ETH fell 8% on the day and 20% over the following week. In the latest case, he said, the amount stolen from Binance was about four times larger, yet ETH had fallen only 4% since the incident was disclosed.
Lee lists six reasons for the milder reaction
Lee said there were six reasons behind that market behavior:
- Binance has the capacity to make all users whole.
- There was no chain reaction across DeFi protocols like the one seen after the Bybit hack.
- The industry moved quickly, cutting potential losses by 50%.
- The FBI identified North Korea as the attacker within two days of the theft, compared with as long as 180 days in earlier cases.
- The attack targeted Binance’s corporate infrastructure rather than a blockchain flaw.
- Limited downside in price shows the crypto bull market is still in progress.
Lee said this showed the crypto industry was becoming more resilient and better able to withstand nation-state attacks.
