NFT marketplace Blur said its blur.io website frontend will be shut down on Nov. 12, 2026. The change applies only to the frontend, while the Blur marketplace protocol will continue to operate onchain. Blur also said BLUR will keep control of the protocol’s fee switch. On the same date, Blend will stop matching new loans. Borrowers will be able to repay before then or allow their loans to default. After that date, Blur said it will provide frontend tools to help users withdraw assets from Blend. The announcement lays out a clear split between the website interface and the underlying protocol, with the latter remaining active after the frontend goes offline.

According to BlockBeats, NFT marketplace Blur said on Oct. 13 that the blur.io website frontend will be shut down on Nov. 12, 2026.

The change affects only the frontend. Blur said its marketplace protocol will continue to run onchain, and BLUR will continue to control the fee switch.

Blend will also stop matching new loans on the same day. Borrowers can repay before then or choose to let their loans default. After that date, Blur said it will provide frontend tools to help users withdraw assets from Blend.
