Bitcoin software provider Breez said apps built with its Breez SDK can now let users receive stablecoin payments from more than 30 networks while holding the proceeds in a Bitcoin balance, according to Bitcoin Magazine.
Breez adds stablecoin receiving across more than 30 networks
Breez said the recipient chooses the payer’s network and the amount first. The SDK then generates a deposit address and displays the amount that will be received. The payer completes the transfer from their own wallet in the usual way.
Flashnet handles the conversion in the background. The funds are then delivered to the recipient’s non-custodial wallet in Bitcoin. If the stable balance feature is used, the payment is received in U.S. dollar form instead.
Latest release in a broader usability push
Breez said this update is the newest addition to a broader set of usability upgrades. In June, the company rolled out support for sending USDT and USDC, allowing a single Breez-powered balance to move stablecoins in both directions across nearly all networks.
It had also introduced Passkey login, instant Cash App onboarding, and stable balances. In August, Breez launched Glow, a reference app designed to showcase what the SDK can do.
Developer toolkit for Bitcoin payments
Breez SDK is a developer toolkit that lets apps add Bitcoin payments without building payment infrastructure on their own, according to the company. It covers wallet creation, sending and receiving, and Lightning Network payments.
Breez said developers can add Bitcoin functionality with only a small amount of code, without running nodes or managing liquidity.
Turnkey partnership announced in July
In July, Breez announced a partnership with Turnkey that allows developers to add non-custodial Bitcoin support to wallet apps running on their own servers.
