Brent Crude Tops $85, Hitting Highest Level Since Aug 4

Brent crude rose above $85 per barrel, up 4.31% on the day, reaching its highest level since Aug 4, according to Gate data. WTI crude climbed above $80 per barrel, also the highest since Aug 4, up 4.78%. Major crude oil futures contracts strengthened, with SC crude, low-sulfur fuel oil, fuel oil, and asphalt all posting gains.

Brent crude surpassed $85 per barrel, marking its highest level since Aug 4 with a daily gain of 4.31%, according to Gate data. WTI crude also climbed above $80 per barrel, the strongest since Aug 4, rising 4.78% on the day.

Major crude futures contracts rallied across the board. SC crude oil rose 2.12% to 543.4 yuan per barrel. Low-sulfur fuel oil (LU) gained 2.05% to 4,671 yuan per ton. Fuel oil advanced 2.25% to 3,587 yuan per ton. Asphalt edged up 0.98% to 4,215 yuan per ton.
