BTQ Technologies, a Nasdaq-listed company, said on Oct. 9 that it has entered a strategic partnership with MoonPay Korea to provide post-quantum cryptography security for infrastructure tied to a won-backed stablecoin initiative. The two companies plan to develop a quantum migration roadmap and work with banking institutions in South Korea on a proof of concept for BTQ’s Quantum Secure Stablecoin Network, or QSSN. The planned work will examine quantum-resistant protections across stablecoin issuance, distribution, wallets and settlement. MoonPay Korea is building infrastructure intended to connect South Korea’s emerging stablecoin market with MoonPay’s global network. According to the announcement, MoonPay’s network spans about 180 countries and territories, serving more than 35 million customers and over 1,500 enterprise clients. BTQ said the partnership also extends its existing work with South Korean financial institutions and follows earlier commercial agreements with LINE NEXT and the Kaia DLT Foundation aimed at deploying QSSN in the Kaia ecosystem.
