According to TechFlowPost on June 11, Bybit has recently introduced a new contract category that includes USDT event delivery contracts. The product uses the results of sports events as its underlying reference, allowing users to trade both before a match begins and while the match is in progress. After the event ends, settlement is completed automatically under the product rules.

The first batch of contracts will focus on World Cup football matches. According to the available information, these contracts will be listed progressively in connection with the 2026 FIFA World Cup schedule. The exact launch time for each trading pair will be subject to official announcements from the Bybit platform.

Pricing reflects real-time expectations for home and away teams

Under the product design, the price of a USDT event delivery contract is based around 10. This reference level is used to reflect the market’s real-time expectation for the outcome between the home team and the away team. A contract price above 10 indicates a stronger pricing tilt toward the home team, while a price below 10 indicates a stronger pricing tilt toward the away team.

The delivery price is calculated with the formula: 10 + (home team goals − away team goals). Settlement is based only on the official score after the full 90 minutes of regular time. Goals scored in extra time or in a penalty shootout are not included in the calculation. As a result, the final delivery price is tied strictly to the goal difference recorded during regular match time.

Automatic post-match settlement with up to 5x leverage

For settlement timing, the contract will settle 130 minutes after the scheduled kick-off time of the relevant match. During the final 20 minutes before settlement, the contract will enter reduce-only mode. In that phase, users may reduce existing positions but cannot open additional positions before the contract is settled.

The product supports leverage of up to 5x, and the minimum entry margin is 10 USDT. Bybit’s first USDT event delivery contracts will be rolled out according to the 2026 World Cup football schedule, while the specific launch schedule for trading pairs will depend on the platform’s announcements.
