A Cardano governance proposal has passed the DRep threshold with 62.76% support, but final approval is still pending as SPO backing remains below the required level and most Constitutional Committee votes have not been cast.

A Cardano governance proposal has secured 62.76% approval from DReps, enough to move past the 60% threshold required for that voting group. The proposal is not over the line yet. Support from stake pool operators stands at 31.59%, still below the 51% needed in that category, while the Constitutional Committee has recorded only one vote so far and the other six members have yet to decide.

Intersect said current voting trends suggest the proposal could be approved on mainnet within the next two epochs. The measure was introduced to the Cardano mainnet during epoch 637 on June 16. Based on the governance calendar, the likeliest approval dates are June 28 or July 3. If the vote is ratified, the hard fork could go live on July 3 or July 8, depending on the final outcome and technical readiness.

Node upgrades and exchange readiness continue to improve

Governance is only one part of the rollout. Intersect also reported that ecosystem preparation moved ahead this week, with 87% of stake pool operators now running node version 11, the release required for the new block structure in the upcoming epoch 639. That level was cited as support for stable block production. Liquidity readiness also increased to 77.37% after several major exchanges indicated they were prepared for the transition.

Intersect, a membership-based organization in the Cardano ecosystem, coordinates both governance processes and technical transitions. In this case, it has served as the main source for updates on vote progress and operational readiness across the network.

Leios testnet launches as Mithril shifts into a new phase

Cardano’s broader infrastructure roadmap also advanced this week. The public Musashi Dojo testnet, built to support the Ouroboros Leios scaling design, has now been deployed. Leios was first introduced by Input Output Research a year ago, and the project has now progressed into a live public testnet prototype.

The Mithril project is also moving into a new stage. Future development responsibility will transfer to Teragone, with Intersect coordinating the process to maintain technical continuity and broaden cryptographic expertise. In parallel, the RealFi Phase 1 Testnet is scheduled to launch on July 6, marking the public debut of a new stablecoin infrastructure on Cardano.
