MarsBit’s weekly roundup for Oct. 19-25 tracked major developments across large-cap crypto projects, focusing on product launches, unusual business metrics, management changes, fundraising and token burn mechanics. Solana moved Alpenglow to mainnet, cutting confirmation time from 12.8 seconds to 150 milliseconds. Dogecoin Labs was formed with backing from the Dogecoin Foundation, while NEAR and Canton advanced token-economics changes through governance. Sky, formerly MakerDAO, reported September gross revenue of $30.8 million, up 49.7% year over year, with $5.08 million allocated to buybacks and staker distributions. The report also highlighted World ID for Zoom going live, Starknet passing a research vote on a possible shift from Ethereum L2 to an independent quantum-resistant L1, and fresh product updates from Derive, Pendle, Morpho, Monad and Kamino. MarsBit said the piece was intended as a lead sheet rather than a full risk or background review and does not constitute investment advice.

MarsBit published a weekly roundup covering major updates across leading crypto projects by market capitalization for Oct. 19-25, focusing on new products, unusual business data, management changes, fundraising and non-routine token burn developments.

Solana, Dogecoin and NEAR

On the technical side, Solana moved the Alpenglow consensus protocol to mainnet, reducing confirmation time from 12.8 seconds to 150 milliseconds.

For Dogecoin, Dogecoin Labs has been established with support from the Dogecoin Foundation. DogeOS founder Jordan Jefferson will serve as CEO. The new entity combines MyDoge, DogeOS and Such App and is aimed at expanding Dogecoin’s utility.

At NEAR, a House of Stake proposal would lower the issuance rate from 2.5% to 1.6% over 24 months. The proposal is still being voted on.

Canton, Aave and Worldcoin

Canton’s CIP-0129 has been approved. Under the proposal, traffic fees for all synchronizers will be paid in CC and burned, with implementation planned for the first quarter of 2027.

MarsBit noted that Canton previously burned CC only through traffic fees collected by global synchronizers. Enterprise-run private synchronizers did not burn CC and instead paid licensing fees to Digital Asset, the company developing Canton. After the approval, private synchronizers will also burn CC at the same price schedule used by global synchronizers. CC issuance will remain unchanged.

Aave founder Stani said during a Q3 livestream that Aavenomics 3.0 will include AAVE buybacks, staking and burns. The report added that AAVE buybacks have been paused since the rsETH incident in April.

Worldcoin has officially launched World ID for Zoom, allowing meeting participants to verify that the other party is a real person. Bain Capital, VanEck and two other institutions are serving as design partners and will place Orbs in offices for employee verification.

Sky, Morpho and M&A updates

Sky Foundation released its September monthly report. Gross monthly revenue came in at $30.8 million, up 49.7% year over year. Revenue allocated to buybacks and distributions to stakers reached $5.08 million, compared with $2.48 million in August. Stablecoin supply stood at $9.70 billion.

The report said Sky is the former MakerDAO. Since Aug. 13, it has been using part of its monthly net surplus to buy back SKY and distribute USDS to stakers. September was the first full month under that new rule.

At Morpho, Robinhood stock tokens can now be used as collateral to borrow USDG, though the feature is limited to users outside the United States.

In M&A, ether.fi acquired self-custody wallet Zeal for an undisclosed amount. Aerodrome and Velodrome have also formally completed their merger and launched a unified onchain spot trading platform called Aero.

Derive, Starknet, Pendle and other project updates

Derive V3 has gone live.

A Snapshot vote on researching a shift for Starknet from an Ethereum Layer 2 network to an independent quantum-resistant Layer 1 passed with 93.5% support. The vote approved research only and does not amount to approval for migration. StarkWare plans to release a draft white paper in November.

PendleLoop has launched, allowing leveraged long exposure to seven tokenized Coinbase stocks on Base for non-U.S. users.

Collector Crypt posted a record $24.3 million in total revenue in a single day.

Monad has integrated the Pump.fun app, allowing users to buy tokens on Monad directly with in-app USDC without bridging.

Kamino said deposits in the AUTO market for its fixed-rate lending product have exceeded $170 million, about eight times the level from a month earlier. MarsBit added that Kamino fixed-rate lending launched on Sept. 21.

MarsBit said the original report was intended to provide leads rather than a full account of the background, conditions and risks behind each development, and it does not constitute investment advice.
