CASHCAT tops the cat-themed meme sector
BlockBeats said on Aug. 26 that GMGN market data showed CASHCAT rose by nearly 9% in one hour, pushing its market cap back to $226 million. Its 24-hour trading volume reached $38.3 million, making it the leader of the cat-themed meme sector.
Other tokens in the sector also moved sharply. On BSC, BNBCAT gained more than 17% in four hours, with its market cap rising to $3.44 million. Another BSC token, Hajimi, rose more than 1% over the same period and saw its market cap climb to $15.52 million. On Base, Basecat added more than 3% in four hours, lifting its market cap to $25.34 million.
Not every token in the group moved higher. On Solana, CATE fell by more than 1% in four hours, and its market cap dropped to $63.63 million.
BlockBeats also reminded users that most meme coins have no practical use case and tend to be highly volatile, urging asset protection and warning against FOMO.
