CertiK announced a brand upgrade on Oct. 7 at TOKEN2049 in Singapore, introducing a new positioning statement: 「The Trust Layer for Digital Value」. The company said its mission is to build trust infrastructure for the digital economy.
The rebrand extends the company’s existing trajectory. CertiK said it started with smart contract audits and has since grown into what it described as the world’s largest Web3 security company, with its business expanding into security and risk management across the digital asset ecosystem.
A broader pitch to institutions, regulators and enterprises
At the event, CertiK Chief Business Officer Jason Jiang said the company is entering its next stage under the banner 「The Trust Layer for Digital Value」.
Jason Jiang said, 「Digital assets are changing how value moves. Institutions providing digital asset services and regulators responsible for oversight need to combine security with compliance management, while maintaining a clear view of risk. This brand upgrade reflects CertiK’s evolution in meeting those needs, and also represents our vision of becoming the trust layer for digital value.」
By CertiK’s account, the new positioning is tied to a clearer definition of its target market. The company said it is building services for financial institutions, regulators, and enterprises that need both security capabilities and compliance management, along with better visibility into risk conditions.
Products cover monitoring, compliance, supervision and AI review
CertiK said its product suite includes Skynet, CertiK Compliance, CertiK Supervision, and CertiK AI Auditor. Those products cover continuous security monitoring, compliance risk management, digital asset supervision tools, and AI-assisted code review.
On the services side, the company said it offers smart contract audits, expert-led formal verification, penetration testing, proof of reserves, and node validation. CertiK said the combination of products and services is designed to help clients assess system security and keep track of digital asset risks on an ongoing basis.
Policy support across several jurisdictions
Beyond commercial security work, CertiK said it has provided technical support for digital asset policymaking in the United States, Hong Kong, Singapore, and the United Arab Emirates. The company said it works with regulators and compliance-focused enterprises to connect technical security assessments with the practical needs of regulated digital asset markets.
That description matches the company’s broader message for the rebrand: extending expertise built in Web3 security into regulatory and compliance settings tied to digital assets.
Founded in 2017, now serving more than 5,500 clients
CertiK said it was founded in 2017 by professors from Yale University and Columbia University, with formal verification expertise providing the technical base for its business expansion.
To date, the company said it has served more than 5,500 clients across over 150 countries and regions, identified more than 119,000 code vulnerabilities, and helped protect more than $600 billion in digital assets.
Rebrand sets the direction for the next phase
CertiK said the upgrade clarifies its next phase of development: taking capabilities built in Web3 security and applying them to a wider set of digital economy use cases, while continuing to support both builders of digital asset systems and the regulators overseeing them.
