Circle published its second-quarter 2026 earnings on August 5. Total revenue and reserve income came to $701 million, up 7% year over year, while adjusted EBITDA reached $143 million, up 8%. Net income from continuing operations was $48 million, a $530 million improvement from a year earlier. USDC circulation hit $73.3 billion at quarter-end, a 19% annual gain, and on-chain transaction volume reached $14.8 trillion, up 151%. Financial highlights

The company posted $701 million in total revenue and reserve income for Q2, up 7% year over year. Adjusted EBITDA came in at $143 million, up 8%. Net income from continuing operations reached $48 million, an increase of $530 million compared with the prior-year period.

Arc mainnet launch and validators

Circle also said its Arc public blockchain will go live on Sept. 16. BlackRock, DTCC, Galaxy, Mastercard, Visa and Standard Chartered will serve as network validators. BlackRock intends to deploy its BUIDL fund onto Arc, while DTCC will support tokenization of DTC-custodied assets on the network.

Bank charters and trust companies

On the regulatory side, Circle received final approval from the OCC to establish a national trust bank, Circle National Trust. That makes it one of the first stablecoin issuers to hold a U.S. federal bank charter. NYDFS also approved the creation of Circle New York Trust.

Payments network momentum

Circle Payments Network (CPN) saw its annualized transaction volume over the past 30 days rise to $14.7 billion, up 76% quarter over quarter. The number of connected financial institutions climbed to 175, a 29% quarter-over-quarter gain.
