Citi Investor Services has launched Custody+, a new custody solutions suite built to address shorter settlement cycles and demand from what it described as an “always-on trading” market. According to Business Wire, the offering uses Single Event Processing, or SEP, to deliver real-time asset servicing in the United States. Citi said the setup has reduced processing times for voluntary corporate actions by as much as 92%, while 96% of U.S. voluntary events are now completed within two hours. More than 80% of overall event volumes are already being handled in real time. The suite includes real-time asset servicing, instant settlement, on-demand foreign exchange, real-time cash and liquidity management, AI-driven tax acceleration, and market intelligence tools. Citi also said client data will be made available through cloud infrastructure and APIs. Separately, the bank expects to launch digital asset custody later this year, with Bitcoin set to be the first supported asset. The planned rollout would place traditional and crypto asset custody under the same operating framework.
