Odaily reported that Citrini analyst Jukan has released a public statement responding to controversy over his past online activity, admitting that some of the resurfaced old posts were in fact written by him and apologizing for inappropriate remarks, the unauthorized sharing of other people’s information, and inadequate source attribution.
Response to posts and accusations circulating on social platforms
Jukan said posts and accusations about his past online behavior have recently circulated on X and other social platforms. He acknowledged that some of the material being discussed was published by him in the past. He added that he would not avoid the responsibility he should bear, while also asking people to separate confirmed facts from additional claims and speculation.
He says he once posted controversial content to draw reactions
According to Jukan, he was active for years in multiple online communities when he was younger and became overly focused on attention and engagement. During that period, he intentionally posted controversial material to provoke responses from others. Looking back, he described those actions as 「immature and wrong」.
He also said some political or social views expressed at the time do not fully represent his current values, and were posted to generate discussion and attention.
Comments on his publishing approach after late 2024
Jukan said he began focusing on the semiconductor sector in late 2024, at first mainly organizing and sharing public news and reference materials. As his account grew, he wanted to provide information that had not been widely discussed. In that process, however, he said problems reappeared, including inadequate source attribution and the mixing of insufficiently verified information with personal judgment.
He said it is important for anyone distributing information to clearly distinguish between verified information, information provided by others, and personal speculation. In his case, he said he was too focused on account growth and output volume and did not consistently maintain proper verification and citation standards.
He says sourcing issues do not mean all of his work was false or plagiarized
At the same time, Jukan said past sourcing problems do not mean all of his content was false or plagiarized. Part of his work, he said, came from public news reports, company documents, and research reports. Over time, he also began obtaining first-hand information through industry contacts and market participants, then combining that with his own analysis.
Promises to rebuild trust through long-term action
Jukan said he understands that trust takes a long time to build and can be lost quickly. He pledged to put more emphasis on verification, cite original sources more carefully, and clearly separate facts, outside views, and personal judgment in future posts.
