Coinbase said it will relaunch Coinbase Pro before the end of the year and has completed the integration of Deribit to form Coinbase Global Exchange. Speaking at Token2049 in Singapore, the company said Coinbase Financial Markets, its U.S.-regulated futures commission merchant, will soon connect eligible U.S. clients to global crypto derivatives liquidity. Coinbase described the move as the first time the U.S. and international derivatives markets have been linked into a single liquidity pool. The company said guidance issued by the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission in May allows it to connect U.S. clients with the global crypto derivatives market under a regulated framework. According to Coinbase, non-U.S. eligible traders will gain access to options trading in the coming weeks, while U.S. retail access is expected later this year. U.S. institutional clients can already trade Deribit options and perpetual contracts through Coinbase Prime, with onboarding now open. Coinbase acquired Deribit in August 2025 for about $2.9 billion.
