Stand With Crypto, a crypto advocacy group backed by Coinbase, said it is endorsing 32 incumbent congressional candidates ahead of the November midterm elections, according to Reuters. All 32 candidates previously voted to advance the CLARITY Act out of the House last year, a bill widely seen by the industry as its top legislative priority. The measure is now stalled in the Senate because of opposition from some lawmakers. The endorsement list includes Republican Representatives Tom Emmer and Bill Huizenga, along with Democratic Representatives Ritchie Torres and Josh Gottheimer, all of whom are viewed as key allies of the crypto sector. Some of the endorsed candidates are also facing highly competitive races. Executive Director Mason Lynaugh said the group wants to show in 2026 that crypto voters are not only real, but organized and capable of affecting election outcomes. Founded by Coinbase in 2023, Stand With Crypto says it has more than 3 million registered advocates and seeks to influence elections through voter mobilization rather than large campaign spending. The broader crypto industry has also continued to put significant capital into US elections, including nearly $200 million this midterm cycle through channels such as the Fairshake super PAC.

Stand With Crypto, a crypto advocacy group backed by Coinbase, has endorsed 32 incumbent congressional candidates in the run-up to the November midterm elections, according to Reuters.

All 32 candidates voted last year to send the CLARITY Act, the crypto industry’s top legislative priority, out of the House. The bill is now stalled in the Senate because some lawmakers oppose it.

Endorsement list includes prominent crypto allies

The group’s list includes Republican Representatives Tom Emmer and Bill Huizenga, as well as Democratic Representatives Ritchie Torres and Josh Gottheimer, all described as key allies of the crypto industry. Some of the endorsed candidates are in closely contested races.

Group says 2026 will test crypto voter mobilization

Stand With Crypto Executive Director Mason Lynaugh said, 「In 2024, we proved that crypto voters are real. In 2026, we want to show organizational strength. Our advocates are a voting bloc that can genuinely affect outcomes.」

Coinbase launched Stand With Crypto in 2023. The group says it seeks to shape elections by mobilizing voters rather than relying on large-scale campaign spending, and it now claims more than 3 million registered advocates.

Crypto industry keeps spending in election cycle

In 2024, the crypto industry spent $170 million to support congressional candidates. Most of them won, and that push also helped Congress pass the GENIUS Act, a stablecoin regulation bill.

In this year’s midterm cycle, the industry has already put nearly $200 million into maintaining its influence in Congress through channels including the Fairshake super PAC.
