ChainCatcher reported, citing Coinglass data, that total liquidations across the crypto market reached $303 million over the past 24 hours. Long liquidations accounted for $188 million of the total, while short liquidations reached $115 million. Based on the reported figures, long-position liquidations were larger than short-position liquidations during the 24-hour period.
For major crypto assets, Bitcoin recorded $31.7585 million in long liquidations and $35.5318 million in short liquidations. Ethereum recorded $35.0572 million in long liquidations and $21.2525 million in short liquidations. The data shows liquidations on both long and short sides for Bitcoin and Ethereum, with Bitcoin short liquidations exceeding its long liquidations, while Ethereum long liquidations exceeded its short liquidations.
Coinglass data also shows that 120,201 traders worldwide were liquidated over the past 24 hours. The largest single liquidation order occurred on Binance - XAGUSDT, with a value of $3.304 million. The figures refer to market-wide contract liquidation data for the most recent 24-hour reporting window.
