According to ChainCatcher, Coinglass data shows that total crypto market liquidations reached $402 million over the past 24 hours. Long-position liquidations accounted for $231 million of the total, while short-position liquidations stood at $171 million. Liquidation data records leveraged positions that are forcibly closed when market moves exhaust the margin supporting those trades.
Bitcoin and Ethereum liquidation breakdown
By asset, Bitcoin long liquidations totaled $43.5514 million, while Bitcoin short liquidations reached $68.898 million. For Ethereum, long liquidations amounted to $44.6054 million, and short liquidations came in at $35.5963 million. In the reported figures, Bitcoin short liquidations were higher than Bitcoin long liquidations, while Ethereum long liquidations were higher than Ethereum short liquidations.
Coinglass also recorded 135,742 traders liquidated globally over the same 24-hour period. The largest single liquidation order occurred on Binance - XAGUSDT, with a reported value of $3.304 million. This order was the biggest individual liquidation disclosed in the 24-hour dataset.
