According to ChainCatcher, data from Coinglass shows that total liquidations across the crypto market reached $163 million over the past 24 hours. Long-position liquidations totaled $50.9623 million, while short-position liquidations reached $112 million. In this set of data, short liquidations were higher than long liquidations.

Bitcoin and Ether liquidation breakdown

By asset, Bitcoin long liquidations stood at $8.9614 million, while Bitcoin short liquidations reached $31.2779 million. Ether long liquidations totaled $10.884 million, and Ether short liquidations came in at $35.8499 million. For both Bitcoin and Ether, the amount liquidated from short positions exceeded the amount liquidated from long positions.

Coinglass data also shows that 66,008 traders were liquidated globally during the latest 24-hour period. The largest single liquidation order occurred on Binance - BTCUSDT, with a value of $3.435 million.
