Of that amount, long-position liquidations stood at $106 million, while short-position liquidations totaled $95.9236 million. Liquidation refers to the forced closing of leveraged positions when margin requirements are no longer met, and the data provides a snapshot of derivatives-market position closures during the stated 24-hour period.
Bitcoin and Ether liquidation details
For Bitcoin-linked positions, long liquidations amounted to $22.6651 million, while short liquidations reached $43.4503 million. For Ether-linked positions, long liquidations totaled $20.6254 million and short liquidations reached $22.5135 million. In the figures reported by Coinglass, Bitcoin short liquidations were higher than Bitcoin long liquidations, and Ether short liquidations were also higher than Ether long liquidations.
The same Coinglass data shows that 69,030 people worldwide were liquidated in the latest 24-hour period. The largest single liquidation order occurred on Binance in the ETHUSDT pair, with a value of $3.3122 million. These figures make up the main liquidation data points reported for the period, including the market-wide total and the separate Bitcoin and Ether breakdowns.
