ChainCatcher reported, citing Coinglass data, that total crypto market liquidations reached $402 million over the past 24 hours. Of that amount, long-position liquidations accounted for $231 million, while short-position liquidations totaled $171 million. In derivatives trading, a liquidation generally refers to a leveraged position being forcibly closed when margin is insufficient or a platform’s risk-control threshold is reached.

For Bitcoin positions, Coinglass recorded $43.5514 million in long liquidations and $68.898 million in short liquidations. For Ethereum positions, long liquidations reached $44.6054 million, while short liquidations stood at $35.5963 million. The figures separately show liquidation size across long and short directions for the two major crypto assets during the same 24-hour reporting window.

The data also shows that 135,742 traders worldwide were liquidated in the past 24 hours. The largest single liquidation order occurred on Binance - XAGUSDT, with a value of $3.304 million. This was the biggest individual forced-closure order disclosed in the Coinglass statistics for the period.
