Cointelegraph is seeking a buyer, according to a report from CoinDesk, though the asking price has not been disclosed. The report said the crypto media outlet was hit with a manual action from Google in October 2025, after which its organic search traffic fell by about 80% and the site temporarily disappeared from Google search results. Similarweb data cited in the report showed monthly visits dropping from more than 12 million in December 2024 to just over 700,000 in early September 2026, a decline of more than 90% from that earlier level. Cointelegraph was founded in 2013 and has more than 200 employees. The company had not responded to a request for comment at the time of the report.
