AI coding security startup Corridor is joining Cognition, according to a post published on Cognition’s website by Corridor co-founders Jack Cable and Ashwin Ramaswami on Oct. 28. Cognition later said on X that it is acquiring Corridor. Cognition is the company behind Devin, the AI software engineer. Cable and Ramaswami said Corridor was founded about two years ago with a mission to speed up secure and autonomous software development, and that the company has since become a security layer for AI-native teams. They said they will work with Cognition president and early Corridor advisor Russell Kaplan, chief security officer Alex Stamos, and chief technology officer Steven Hao. The founders also said their careers have focused on finding and fixing vulnerabilities in critical systems, and argued that AI agents can now carry out end-to-end attack chains, creating a need for new defensive tools. Corridor’s product is designed to embed security controls during AI code generation rather than adding security measures after code has already been written. The company previously announced a $5.4 million seed round led by Conviction in August 2025, followed by a $25 million Series A led by Felicis at a $200 million valuation in March 2026.

AI coding security company Corridor is joining Cognition, according to an Oct. 28 post on Cognition’s website by Corridor co-founders Jack Cable and Ashwin Ramaswami. The pair said the move will take Devin Security into its next phase.

Corridor says it will join Cognition

Cable and Ramaswami said Corridor was founded about two years ago with a mission to accelerate secure and autonomous software development. They said the company has become a security layer for AI-native teams.

The founders said they will work with Cognition president Russell Kaplan, who was also an early advisor to Corridor, along with chief security officer Alex Stamos and chief technology officer Steven Hao.

Focus on security during code generation

The two founders said their careers have centered on finding and fixing vulnerabilities in critical systems. They also said AI agents are now capable of carrying out end-to-end attack chains, and that defenders need new tools.

Corridor’s product is positioned around embedding security controls during the process of AI-generated coding, rather than adding security measures after the code is already written.

Funding history

Corridor previously announced a $5.4 million seed round in August 2025 led by Conviction.

In March 2026, the company said it had raised a $25 million Series A led by Felicis at a $200 million valuation. Other investors included Conviction, Timeless, Lux Capital, Datadog, and SV Angel.
