Crypto.com said OG will launch in the U.S. on February 3, 2026 as a standalone prediction market app focused on regulated event trading. Users will be able to trade on the outcomes of real-world events, including sports such as the Super Bowl and March Madness, as well as political and financial results. According to the company, all contracts on the platform operate under Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) rules.
Standalone rollout follows sharp growth in trading business
Instead of placing the product inside its main app, Crypto.com is releasing OG as a separate platform for the U.S. market. The company said its trading business expanded 40x in six months, which led to the decision to launch a dedicated app. OG is described as combining a social-style user experience with the capabilities of a professional trading tool. To mark the launch, Crypto.com said the first 1 million users may receive rewards of up to $500.
Margin trading is planned for a regulated market app
Crypto.com frames OG as a regulated prediction market rather than a conventional betting product. The app is built around the idea of using crowd expectations to price what may happen next across a range of events. The company also said it plans to add margin trading soon, giving experienced traders a way to use leverage to increase position size. It described that feature as still uncommon in regulated U.S. prediction market apps.
Nick Lundgren leads the product with a sports-focused strategy
The app is led by CEO Nick Lundgren, whom the company described as a legal specialist who helped expand its U.S. licensing footprint. Crypto.com said sports sit at the center of this market, and OG will launch with a VIP program tied to partners including UFC, Formula 1, and the UEFA Champions League. Users trading around their preferred teams and events may also gain access to exclusive experiences.
Central limit order book used for price discovery
On market structure, the company said OG runs through a federally licensed system and executes trades through a central limit order book. Crypto.com said this setup is intended to provide transparent price discovery and clearer visibility into how prices move, in contrast to opaque models used in older apps. The source material also includes a risk warning: prediction market trading carries significant risk, and margin trading can increase losses quickly.
