Crypto hiring picked up sharply in September, but applicant activity did not keep pace, according to CryptoJobsList data cited by CoinDesk. The crypto-focused jobs platform recorded 1,241 openings in September, up from 886 in August and 382 in July. That means September listings were more than triple July levels and more than double the 573 openings posted in January. The report said January had been the busiest month of the year before a slowdown appeared in August. The number of companies hiring also increased, reaching 125 in September, compared with 107 in July and 77 in August. Even with that rebound in listings, application volume moved the other way. CryptoJobsList recorded 25,700 applications in July, 24,631 in August, and just under 20,000 in September. Over the past three months, finance roles drew the strongest demand from employers, followed by engineering and trading. Stablecoin, artificial intelligence, security, and compliance roles also ranked in the top 10. Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana were the blockchain skills most frequently requested in job listings.
