The global crypto market climbed to $2.51 trillion on April 10, up 1.1% over the past 24 hours, while total trading volume reached $94.9 billion. Bitcoin held a market share of 57.2%, with Ethereum at 10.5%. Prices moved higher on aggregate, but sentiment stayed weak: the Fear & Greed Index came in at 16, still in the “Extreme Fear” range.
Bitcoin leads majors with a push above $71,900
Bitcoin traded at $71,907.77, posting a 1.85% gain in 24 hours. Its trading volume stood at $39.1 billion, and market capitalization reached $1.44 trillion. Ethereum changed hands at $2,185.16, up 0.75% on the day, with $17.2 billion in volume and a market cap of $263.83 billion. The data points to continued concentration in large-cap assets, especially BTC.
RAVE posts the biggest jump while TAO and ARIA retreat
Volatility was much sharper in smaller tokens. RaveDAO (RAVE) traded at $1.06 after soaring 242.77% in 24 hours, with trading volume of $162.31 million. Zcash (ZEC) also moved higher, rising 15.9% to $370.05 on volume of $896.64 million.
On the downside, Bittensor (TAO) appeared in the report with two separate 24-hour readings: a 9.1% drop at $292.38 and a 10.25% decline at $288.40. Trading activity remained elevated in both entries, around $1.56 billion to $1.57 billion. AriaAI (ARIA) fell even harder, sliding 40.87% to $0.4032 with $169.1 million in volume. Bluwhale (BLUAI) was quoted at $0.008478, down 4.75%.
Stablecoins and DeFi edge higher as sentiment stays fragile
The stablecoin segment recorded a 0.2% gain over 24 hours, bringing total capitalization to $311.4 billion and trading volume to $79.88 billion. The DeFi market rose 1.2%, with capitalization at $51.6 billion, trading volume at $3.48 billion, and global DeFi dominance at 2.1%.
Sentiment improved only slightly. The Fear & Greed Index rose from 14 a day earlier to 16, above last week’s 9 and last month’s 15, yet still firmly in extreme fear territory. Compared with the previous day, total crypto market value increased from $2.48 trillion to $2.51 trillion, while both BTC and ETH moved up.
Daily market headlines span OKX, TON, Tether and BlockDAG
The report also listed a string of industry developments. It said OKX founder Star Xu accused Binance founder CZ of concealing a divorce and the division of Binance shares. CZ responded that lawyers could verify the matter and offered $1 billion. Lightning Labs CTO Olaoluwa Osuntokun introduced a prototype Bitcoin recovery tool that can prove wallet ownership without exposing seed phrases, aimed at helping users recover funds after quantum-resistant upgrades.
World Liberty Financial said its lending positions remain safe and that it can add collateral if needed. The project also plans a governance proposal to unlock tokens for early holders. Tether released the open-source QVAC SDK for building AI applications on local devices, including tools for text, speech, translation, and vision. TON activated Catchain 2.0 on April 9, increasing block production by six times and lifting transaction throughput, validator rewards, and expected annual inflation across the network.
The update also cited allegations from ZachXBT that Gurhan Kiziloz, linked to Spartans, was secretly behind BlockDAG Network. According to the claim, the project raised more than $300 million through misleading promotions, unrealistic promises, and fake partnerships aimed at retail investors.
