Market concentration stayed heavy at the top. Bitcoin held 56.3% dominance and Ethereum accounted for 10.5%. BTC was listed at $68,044.06, up 1% in 24 hours, with $42.1 billion in volume and a $1.36 trillion market cap. ETH traded at $2,100.23, up 2.66%, with $20.9 billion in volume and a $253 billion valuation.
ALGO leads gainers while SIREN posts the sharpest drop
Among the top 24-hour gainers, Algorand (ALGO) rose to $0.09805, up 18.89%, with trading activity at $88.53 million. Midnight (NIGHT) added 9.86% to $0.04844, and Zcash (ZEC) advanced 9.32% to $248.22. On the losing side, Siren (SIREN) fell to $0.5792, down 66% in a day, with $189.62 million in trading volume. River (RIVER) lost 3.51%, and Hyperliquid (HYPE) slipped 1.90%.
Separate trending data showed DAR Open Network (D) up 21.53%, Mind Network (FHE) up 20.90%, and SKALE Network (SKL) up 23.67%. In that same list, Bitcoin and Ethereum were quoted at $68,565 and $2,065.
Stablecoins soften as DeFi records a daily gain
The stablecoin sector posted a 0.1% decline over 24 hours, with total market capitalization at $309 billion and trading volume at $96 billion. DeFi, by contrast, rose 1.9% to a market cap of $50 billion, with $4.38 billion in trading volume and global dominance of 2.1%.

Outside price action, CoinShares completed its merger with Vine Hill and began trading on Nasdaq on Wednesday under the ticker CSHR. The company was valued at $1.2 billion, with $50 million in fresh capital and $6 billion in assets under management.
A malicious Axios update attack linked to North Korean hackers affected thousands of firms, stealing credentials and planting hidden payloads across Windows, Linux, and macOS systems. At the same time, Magic Eden Wallet moved to export-only mode on April 1 and told users to transfer funds before its full shutdown on May 1, when key recovery support will end permanently.
Blockchain payroll also entered focus. Plume, Toku, and WisdomTree launched a pilot program that lets employees receive part of their salaries in tokenized money fund shares. Eightco separately disclosed $326 million in crypto holdings, including 277 million WLD, 11,068 ETH, stablecoins, and cash. Its Worldcoin position is nearing 9% of circulating supply.
Compared with March 31, when the market recovered 0.6% to $2.39 trillion, April 1 brought a larger rise to $2.42 trillion. Still, the sentiment reading dropped from 11 to 8, leaving a clear split between stronger prices and weaker trader confidence.
