Crypto trading turned mixed over the latest 24-hour session. Bitcoin (BTC) changed hands at $72,848.16, down 1.3%, yet its market capitalization remained above $1.45 trillion. Large-cap tokens mostly weakened, but several names outside the top tier posted sharp gains and strong turnover.
Ethereum (ETH) fell 1.9% to $1,982.10. XRP slipped 2.1% to $1.31, BNB dropped 4.5% to $687.44, and Solana (SOL) declined 1.8% to $80.99. The move showed a market without a single direction, with losses concentrated across many of the best-known assets.
TRX and HYPE buck the broader pullback
Some large-cap tokens still moved higher. TRON (TRX) gained 1.1% to $0.3504, while Hyperliquid (HYPE) climbed 4.9% to $72.46. That advance pushed HYPE’s market capitalization above $16 billion, placing it among the stronger performers in the upper tier of the market. The contrast was clear: weakness in several majors, strength in a handful of selected names.
Trading activity stayed centered on Bitcoin and Ethereum, which together accounted for a large share of total market volume. Even so, the latest figures suggested that traders were rotating capital toward smaller tokens where short-term returns were stronger.
Humanity and PLAY lead the daily gainers
Among smaller tokens, Humanity (H) stood out after a 63.3% rise in 24 hours. The token traded at $0.6476 and generated more than $414 million in trading volume. PlaysOut (PLAY) also posted a strong move, jumping 70.3% to $0.1227 with daily volume above $23 million, making it one of the more actively traded gainers in the market.
Portal (PORTAL) recorded the biggest percentage gain among the listed winners, surging 192.2% to $0.03852 while producing more than $431 million in volume. Solstice (SLX) followed with a 109.6% gain, and Stargate Finance (STG) rose 48.9%. KOGE and Kinetiq (KNTQ) also advanced 39.8% and 37.7%, showing continued demand for selected mid-cap and emerging digital assets.
Rotation continues as majors soften
The session reflected a split market. BTC, ETH, XRP, BNB, and SOL traded lower, while TRX and HYPE moved up. At the same time, Humanity, PLAY, and PORTAL led the strongest advances of the day, indicating that trading interest remained concentrated in tokens delivering faster short-term price expansion.
