According to Odaily's midday news briefing, a series of important updates emerged across crypto and macro financial markets on June 3.

On-chain data indicates significant capital movements have been frequent in recent days. An address tagged as the “1011 insider whale” transferred $1.35 billion worth of Ether to Binance, and ETH prices subsequently slid, now down over 20% from that point. In the same market, long-time ETH bull James Fickel resurfaced after six months of silence and moved 10,000 ETH (roughly $18.62 million at current prices) to an external address. Meanwhile, Galaxy Digital together with another whale address kept accumulating HYPE tokens, purchasing nearly 540,000 HYPE with a combined position now valued at about $41.54 million. The USDH deployer also adjusted its holdings, unstaking 1.01 million HYPE and depositing 200,000 HYPE with market maker Flowdesk. On the macro front, speculative long positions in the U.S. dollar hit $16.5 billion, the highest since February 2025.

Regarding macro and compliance, a European Central Bank Governing Council member stated that even a peace deal between the U.S. and Iran would not weaken the case for continued rate hikes, keeping tightening expectations firm. In the United States, crypto project WLFI issued a notice requiring users to strictly observe sanctions compliance, warning that any transaction linked to sanctioned addresses would be blocked. Bitcoin miner Bitmine is under pressure, as its unrealized loss has now exceeded the paper loss on Strategy’s (formerly MicroStrategy) Bitcoin holdings.

In funding and project developments, AI firm DeepSeek is about to launch its first funding round with a target of around $7 billion, and Tencent along with CATL are expected to become the largest external investors. On the crypto market, the BP token surged 47% in 24 hours, with market chatter attributing the rally to positive spillover from a related U.S. stock product.
