The AI sector led with a 3.59% gain over 24 hours, driven by Worldcoin (WLD) surging 22%, while SkyAI (SKYAI) and Tagger (TAG) advanced 6.26% and 10.28%, respectively. The DeFi sector rose 1.93% as Hyperliquid (HYPE) briefly broke above $75, setting a new all-time high, and Ethena (ENA) soared 21.51% on the back of Coinbase Ventures’ first token investment in the project.
AI and DeFi Shine
AI dominated sector performance, with WLD’s outsized move contributing the bulk of the sector’s advance. DeFi’s strength was fueled by HYPE’s record high and ENA’s capital infusion, both catching strong market attention.
In contrast, major crypto assets faced heavy pressure. Bitcoin (BTC) dropped 6.19% over 24 hours, momentarily dipping below the $62,000 mark. Ethereum (ETH) fell 4.52%, sliding under $1,800.
Mixed Performance Across Other Sectors
The remaining sectors were equally mixed. RWA rose 1.48%, with Ondo Finance (ONDO) edging up 0.56%. The NFT sector climbed 2.55%, led by Audiera (BEAT) jumping 19.27%. Layer2 slipped 1.04%, though Polygon (POL) managed a 0.69% gain. Meme lost 1.85%. Layer1 fell 3.67%, but Kaspa (KAS) bucked the trend with a 6.30% rise. PayFi retreated 3.73%, while Monero (XMR) advanced 7.60%. CeFi declined 5.14%, with Aster (ASTER) ticking up 0.15%.
Reflecting broader sector sentiment, the ssiSocialFi index slumped 8.61%, ssiCeFi dropped 5.61%, and ssiMAG7 fell 5.35%.
