CryptoQuant data shows a sharp rise in altcoin transfers to exchanges over the past two weeks. The seven-day cumulative count of altcoin deposit transactions reached 78,000 on Sept. 28, up about 160% from roughly 29,800 on Sept. 14, the highest level since October 2025. Over the same period, the number of addresses sending altcoins to exchanges climbed from around 17,600 to 51,600, nearly tripling and also marking a near one-year high. According to CryptoQuant, the increase in exchange inflows was broad-based rather than limited to a small set of tokens or wallets. The firm said that moving tokens onto trading platforms usually signals an intention to sell, meaning the latest figures may indicate rising potential sell pressure in the altcoin market. At the same time, altcoins have recently been outperforming Bitcoin on a relative basis. Bitcoin dominance has fluctuated between 58% and 60.4% since May 27 and remains below 60%. Meanwhile, crypto assets ranked outside the top 10 by market capitalization accounted for 9% of the total market on Sept. 27, the highest share since February this year.

CryptoQuant’s latest data shows a sharp increase in altcoin transfers to exchanges. The seven-day cumulative number of altcoin deposit transactions rose to 78,000 on Sept. 28, up about 160% from roughly 29,800 on Sept. 14, according to BlockBeats. That marked the highest level since October 2025.

Over the same stretch, the number of addresses depositing altcoins to exchanges climbed from about 17,600 to 51,600, nearly three times the earlier figure. That was also the highest reading in nearly a year.

CryptoQuant said the rise in exchange inflows was broad-based. The firm added that when holders move tokens onto trading platforms, it usually signals preparation to sell, so the data may point to potential sell pressure.

Altcoins have also gained ground against Bitcoin

At the same time, altcoins have recently strengthened relative to Bitcoin. Bitcoin dominance has moved between 58% and 60.4% since May 27 and remains below 60%.

Crypto assets ranked outside the top 10 by market capitalization accounted for 9% of the total market on Sept. 27, the highest level since February this year.
