Dan Tapiero, founder and CEO of 50T Funds, said on a Bitcoin Magazine program that a new bull phase has begun in the core assets of the digital asset sector.
According to the program description, Tapiero discussed what makes a digital asset company worth backing and how he evaluates business quality in the sector.
Valuation and why some firms were passed over
The chapter list shows that Tapiero addressed why he passed on FTX, Celsius, and BlockFi, framing that decision around valuation.
Where he sees revenue growth
Tapiero said the strongest underlying revenue growth is showing up in stablecoins and tokenization. The program description also named Kraken, Ledger, and Polymarket as examples of businesses tied to that growth.
Bitcoin, Solana, and Hyperliquid
On market direction, Tapiero said Bitcoin has entered a new bull phase. The episode also covered Solana and said Hyperliquid has been leading this stage of the market.
Fundraising and institutional appetite
The interview included 50T’s effort to raise a $500 million fund and discussed institutional appetite. Another segment focused on 50T’s $42 million investment in MoonPay.
Macro themes beyond crypto
Beyond digital assets, the conversation moved to Japan’s 30-year bond base and what Tapiero described as the biggest macro theme. Later chapters referenced Scott Bessent, the yen, and Kevin Warsh’s rate hike.
AI, rates, and the long-term debasement trade
The final sections covered AI, productivity, and the natural rate of interest. The program closed with the debasement trade, where Tapiero argued that Bitcoin and gold win over the long term.
